Update 2017-07-20 (Chuck Tomasi):

In response to the questions asked during the episode...

A) The property used to allow/prevent click-through on the reference field "i" icon is glide.ui.reference.readonly.clickthrough. When set to true, the icon will appear and you can click through to the referenced record. When set to false, no icon appears.

You can also use the dictionary attribute readonly_clickthrough as true or false on a field-by-field basis. This HI knowledge base article may also be helpful.

B) Script for the inbound email action is attached to this article.

Dont forget that you can use "Glide.sc.variable.reference.clickthrough" for the icon in Service Catalogs and reference variables.

Got time to look at the nice technow and learn about this that I had no clue either about 😃

Noticed 2 things:

* I was kind of missing the export /import records that you mention, but I noticed that they were there, but not really fully "updated". Since I found the record with the excel-file 😃 but it had no name etc. like this which is kind of weird:

* I can't get the heartbeat on related list to show up. I took an incident and went down to the related list "child incident". No matter how I tried (added new records, adding already existing records or just change field through list edit in the related list like you did with the "field" date field). Any idea how to get this to show.

HI Goran,

For the first thing, I recommend either using the XML records I supplied, or start from scratch. I don't trust the unnamed records too much. Your mileage may vary.

For the live lists, it's a List v3 feature. Are you using List v3?

I totally agree with using your records. I was just surprised that the records were there, but just like half-done.

Ahh, didn't get it was a List v3 thingie, thought it was just Jakarta. and I realized that that plugin wasn't default active, which I took for granted.

Now the heartbeat is there..

But I realized that this actually existed in Istanbul as well, but in Istanbul this property(glide.ui16.live_lists.enabled) was default false, while in Jakarta it's default true 😃 so I guess no one never found it 😃

But I might noticed another bug while I was trying to get it to work if you just can double check to test if you got a minute over.

If you go into "system properties-> list v3" and choose "Enable V3". Which was the one I thought I needed to do to get the heartbeat

Now (probably need to reload thew whole session), if you go to a ticket, double click on the for example the short description on one of the related record and update it. Suddenly the heartbeat appears on the short description of the "current" form and it also changes the text to the new one. But it never saves, so if you just reload the page, the short description there is back as it should.
